OVERVIEW OF T1DAPC

The Type 1 Diabetes in Acute Pancreatitis Consortium (T1DAPC) is a group of 10 clinical centers and one data coordinating center that was formed in 2020 by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Its purpose is to study Type 1 diabetes and other forms of diabetes that occur during or after one or more episodes of acute pancreatitis. In order to accomplish this, T1DAPC’s main study will follow participants with a recent acute pancreatitis diagnosis to find out how many develop diabetes. The study is titled Diabetes RElated to Acute pancreatitis and its Mechanisms (DREAM).
